Well I went in for yet another NST (Non-stress test) today at my OB's office. I can tell my twins are getting anxious to come out. They would NOT sit still for the monitor to get their heart rate. I think they were "off" more than they were "on" and being recorded. And today they decided to do Synchronized Kicking of the Rib Cage. It was awesome hahaha.
When the NP came in to check out the monitor she asked "So Next Wednesday is it. What do you want to do?" I asked her for her opinion and she stated that C-section will be the safest for the twins. Thats all I needed to hear. I do not want ANYTHING to happen to my nuggets.
It looks like October 12th (next wednesday) I will be the mom of two beautiful babies. I also got the first spot! (does that suprise you? we all know I don't have patience). I have to be at the hosptial at 5:30 and then the c-section will be scheduled for 7:15am. I hope that by 8:00am next Wednesday I will be holding two babies in my arms.
Of course the twins could have a plan of their own and come at anytime before then. I would love for that to happen, seeing as how Gavin's open heart is scehduled for October 11th :(
SIDE NOTE: The twins officially have their Christmas Outfits!!!! (again, does that suprise anyone??). I can't wait to see their tiny hineys in those outfits! I looove Christmas :)

That's a WHOLE lot of baby!!!
Today was our last Growth Ultrasound. I was so excited to see my nuggets one last time before their big arrival.
I have been geting kicked in the ribs for a while now and it just is non stop all day. After while all I want is a break but then I stop and think of how lucky I am to have two precious lives inside me right now.
Alright so we got the twins' weights today. HOLY COW!!!!! I have a whoooole lot of baby in me right now. Get ready,...
Baby A (girl) is 5lbs 14oz
Baby B (boy) is 6lbs 8 oz.
That is crazy. The bigger they are and the longer I go the less likely they will have little if any NICU time. I am crossing my fingers big time for them to just come home when I do and have no NICU time.
After the Ultrasound, my mom took me to St. Cyril for the Kids Kloset Consignment sale. Love those things! If I wasn't more preggo I would have stayed longer and shopped for more stuff. I did find a realllly cute Winnie The Pooh picture that I need to find a spot for in the Nursery.
Then after the madness at the Consignment sale, Dale and I went over to the Police Dept and had our car seats inspected. I offically think I need a new car but we are going to deal with what we have now. The girl who did the inspected the car said that we were one of the few parents who had everything in correctly. Except the seat I was in was reclined too much. This is only because of how I have to sit in the car and be somewhat comfortable.
It was a busy day and now I am just going to lay on this couch and watch reality TV hahah. I deserve it with 12 lbs of baby in me!

35 Week Update....
Went to the Dr today. I asked the very important question..."Can you take me at 37 weeks?". Answer: "No. Not unless you go naturally before then".
So I will be scheduling a C-section for Oct 12th.
If Mother Nature and The Man Upstairs have a heart, they will make magic happen the week before. If I go on the 12th...well....It's gonna be bittersweet.

35 Weeks..It's the Final Countdown
Today marks 35 weeks. I can't believe it! Soon my little nuggets will be here in my arms. I love being pregnant but I am officially DONE. I am in pain 24/7 between my back, hands/fingers, feet, lack of sleep, etc. I know it sounds like I am complaining but its so much harder carring twins than I thought.
I go on Friday for another NST. I will talk to the DR about delivery then. Still up in the air if I can do natural or C-sect. There are pros and cons to both. But for the first time in my life I am not worried what people will think of my decision. I am not here to impress people, I am here to make sure my children come into this world as healthy and safely as possible. (oooh while I write this I am having a contraction...lovely!)
This is a view of what I stare at during my NSTs. The top number is Baby A (girl) heart rate, the next number is Baby B (boy) heart rate, and the third number is my contraction. If you look at the graph, you can see the peak of my contraction and the "55" was me coming down from the contraction. Still not super painful but I guess the more I have the closer my body is getting!

Here is a picture my mom took the other day. I am pretty sure I am 34 weeks.

Nursery!
Well we are pretty much DONE! All we need are two babies. We plan on putting their names up on the wall but we have to save that until after they are here since those are secrets.
Little Miss is always on the LEFT. Her clothes in the closet, her crib, her clothes in the dresser. And Mr. Man is always on the RIGHT. I have no idea how that started but it just kinda happened and I stuck with it.
Enjoy the pictures :o)

Getting Close
At my NST today, they saw multiple contractions. And I am starting to feel them. Not necessarily painful but I know they are happening. My OB has instructed me to keep my feet up as much as possible so that I can make it to at least 34 weeks (next wednesday).
I plan on having Dale help me finish the nursery tomorrow. I have started getting things together that I need for my hospital bag. We have finished all birthing classes. Baby clothes are washed. So really I am just waiting for them to make their grand enterance.
I can't believe we are so close to meeting our precious little nuggets!

33 week update
Wow, tomorrow I will officially start my 33rd week of pregnancy. I never thought I would actually get to this point. I am feeling ok. The hormonal crying breakdowns have started. Sleeping is tough but I manage to get a few hours in a night. I guess my body is just preparing for whats to come!
Dale went with me the other day to our NST (non stress test). While there the monitor picked up that I had a contraction. I felt it but it wasn't "painful". My OB commented on it and told me to keep it easy. I had another NST today and I could tell I was having contractions as well but nothing as big as the one last week. Maybe these are just the standard Braxton Hicks everyone talks about.
After that appointment, we went to the hospital for our growth ultrasound. Surprisingly both babies are still head down. Baby A (girl) is weighing 4lbs 7oz and is in the 49th percentile. Baby B (boy) is weighing 4lbs 6oz. I can't believe I have 8lbs of baby in me right now. That's bigger than a lot of singleton newborns!! Yikes!
The nursery is really starting to come together. I think in about another week or so it will be done! I will post pictures as soon as its done. The only thing we have to hold off on is putting their names on the wall above their cribs. But other than that, its looking great!
I have started to do baby wash which was a little odd for me. I have done loads of laundry of baby clothes before but when its your own, it just seems like a whole different experience! Little by little the house is filling up with boy/girl items and pack and plays.
Tomorrow, like I said I will be 33 weeks. I have anywhere from days to 5 more weeks. (I am crossing my fingers for at least 3 more weeks). But at this point, I am doing my best to take it day by day. Every day they stay inside is a day less they may have to spend in the NICU. I am doing all I can for them. It's extremely tough but I wouldn't trade it for the world right now.
