31 weeks quiz

How Far Along: 31w

Total Weight Gain: more than enough, that's all I will say

Symptoms: carpal tunnel(can't freel my right middle finger at all!), leg cramps, shortness of breath when the twins get into a certain position, bouts of crying for no reason, and sleepless nights because I am so uncomfortable. Wow that list got a lot longer! Oh yea, can't forget the heartburn!

Maternity Clothes: It was nice having lots of clothes to choose from my my SIL Liz and girlfriend Lindsay. But in the past week or so, I noticed I am growing out of the clothes. The shirts are now becoming belly shirts (not a pretty sight!)

Stretch Marks: Knock on wood, still None

Sleep: What;s that? haha. I wake up at least 2x a night to go to the bathroom. And finding a good position is next to impossible.

Best moment last week: realizing I only had 8 more weeks of this until I can see my babies

Movement: non stop. Baby girl is nuts. She is one fiesty chick already!

Food Cravings: none really...well I am craving a blizzard but I guess thats not one to cave in on since its not healthy huh?

What I am looking forward to: Our next growth ultrasound next week. And holding the twins in my arms...Kinda miss my body.

Milestones: getting the nursery 90% done.

How is Daddy?: Good. I catch him reading baby books all the time. :)

Fun in the Sun

Dale and I went on vacation and it was so nice and relaxing. It rained but we managed to get on the beach for a few hours each day. Wednesday was the best day on the beach..unfortunately I got dehydrated that night and had a few issues. We called the Dr who said that my symptoms all sounded like dehydration and just to drink as much as I could. And thats just what I did. I learned my lesson big time...don't sit in the sun all day and not drink enough water because you dont want to waddle back to the beach house to go to the bathroom. lol




















Thursday I had my NST/US. It was uneventful (which is good). Dale went with me this time so he got to see the twins during the US.

Thursday night we headed to DE for a shower/party for the twins. All of Dale's friends and family were there and we had lots of fun. Once I get pix I will share.

Today I went to the chiropractor for the first time. I have such numbness in my right arm and hand. It's very annoying and frustrating because I can't do much wtih my right hand which makes getting stuff done around the house next to impossible!

Mini-Vacation! (and baby update)

Today I leave for a mini-vacation to OCNJ. Of course it is RAINING! And will continue to rain for most of my vacation! Not fun but I am really going for a change of scenery and to relax. I leave tonight with my parents and Dale will come down tomorrow (he has some stuff to get done today so it makes more sense for him to come tomorrow).

So I had 2 appointments this past week. It was the start of my 2x a week Fetal Non Stress Test appoinments. On Tuesday I had to go around 8:45. They took me right away and hook me up to two fetal heart rate monitors and a monitor to check for contractions. I also had to do the Glucose Tolerance Test. The drink wasn't that bad as I had thought. It tasted more like a fruit punch gatorade. I am thinking I passed the test since I havent heard anything. I went back on Friday to do another NST and everything checked out fine.

The twins are so darn active. And not so much in a punch all day active. But more in a just change position which is not always the most confortable for mommy! haha.

I will check back next week after my appointment and to let ya know how vacation went!

Hello 3rd Timester!

Friday was a fun day. I was 28w2days and had another Growth Ultrasound. Dale and I were so anxious to see them. As soon as the ultrasound started, our tech was shocked to see their position. The twins (both head down) were snuggling with each other. Their heads were right next to one another. She said she never sees this and it was so cute! Look at the pictures below.





















Here is a picture of our little girl. Our little man was not in a good position to get a profile shot.

So the current stats on the twins are as follows:
Baby A (Girl) - 2lbs 8 oz and heart rate was 136 (first time I saw it that high ever! but she was super active so I am sure that explains it!)

Baby B (Boy) - 2lbs 15oz and heart rate of 122 (he was sleeping still).

They are growing great. He more so than her obviously but they still fall in the normal range. Everything else checked out good.

I have started my FMLA (Maternity) leave. I am getting more uncomfortable by the day and work was the last thing my body wants to do. For the past week I have had a bizzare new symptom. I wake up and my hands and wrists are killing me. My fingers are so tight and I have pain that goes to my wrists. Super frustrating because my wrists feel weak throughout the day. But I will manage to get through it. I have two nuggets that I will endure all of this for!

I have an OB appointment on Tuesday where I will be forced to drink a sugary drink to test for Gestational Diabetes. Then starts the 2x week NST (Non stress tests). This is where I think I just sit in a room with monitors on to look at their hear rates. Hopefully all will be fine but thats going to be a lot of time in that doctors office.

Today we are going to work on getting the nursery finished. I should have pictures up soon!

Baby Shower

Below are some pictures from the AMAZING shower my mom, sister in law Liz and BFF Stacy planned for the twins. They did an incredible job and I still can't believe how beautiful and perfect it was! My babies are so blessed to have such an amazing family and people who love them. They got sooo much stuff. Good thing the nursery is getting close to being done and I only have a few days of work left. I got lots to organize!
