Merry Christmas

Christmas was a bit interesting ths year.  I have been looking forward to spending the holidays with my Husband and my two new precious gifts from God.  Well a few days before Christmas, I was admitted into Doylestown Hospital for mastits that exploded into an abscess gone wrong! It was aweful.  I was admitted thru the ER on Thursday night.  It was pretty intense what I was going through. And to be away from my babies was heartbreaking.  I thought for sure I would get out for Christmas Eve.  But that didn't happen.  I was in the hospital while Dale and the nuggetswent to Delaware to spend the night.  I woke up on Christmas morning alone in a dreary hospital room to a nurse needing to take my vitals and start yet another IV antibiotic bag.  I spent every day crying to see my babies.  Dale visited me on Christmas and it was so nice to see him.  While he was there, the Infectious Disease doctor came in and took a look at my wound and he thought it looked better and gave the green light to get discharged!  I got home around 3pm and ran to my babies.  While I couldn't pick them up without being in pain, I still held them so close and tight.  I will never forget about my health again because it lead to me missing out on three days of my babies lives.  I am just happy the nurses at Doylestown Hospital are so sweet and caring!
Maybe next year I will have a better Christmas.  In fact, I promised the twins that next year will be 100 times better than it was this year!!
(I am feeling better.  It has been so nice to be home.  The first few days were a little bit hard because I will still in pain but at this point, its just a waiting game to have this wound close and heal.)
(I will post pictures soon...busy being a mom!)

2 Months Old!

The day after the twins were Baptized, they were offically two months old!  Where does the time go???

On December 11th, Leah Marie and Ryan Anthony were Baptized at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church! It was a beautiful day.  The twins looked super cute in their outfits and did so well!  For the most part, they both slept through the entire ceremony.  Leah's Godparents are my borther Geoff and cousin Brooke.  Ryan's Godparents are my sister-in-law Tina and nephew Mark.  It was such a great celebration and we were so incredibly blessed to be surrounded by our Family for the day!  Here are some pictures!

Leah Heart Update

Little Leah went back to CHOP Cardiology today for a follow up on her VSD (aka holes in her heart). Let me tell you, she was sooo happy during this appointment.  When the nurse took us back to weigh her and take her vitals, she just smiled and was so darn happy.  I kept looking at Dale like "Who is this child!?".  Usually she is sleeping and if not sleeping she is crying  (not all the time but a lot of the time).  But today she transformed into another person.  I contribute it to the fact that she had Mommy and Daddy's full and undivided attention since Ryan stayed home with Gammom.

The cardiologist (Dr. Stephen) came in and listened to her heart.  He and a shadowing resident could hear her Heart Murmur.  He then requested Leah have an Echocardiogram.  Well Leah was awake while the Dr was looking at her and then a few minutes before the Echo, she fell asleep! Perfect timing.  She slept through the whole Echo!!!! It made the test go faster and smoother.  And wouldn't you know, when the test was done, she woke up again. (seriously, who is this child?! haha).

So in the end the Dr said she still has 4 holes in her heart.  Two seem slightly smaller but two are unchanged.  Because she is growing normally and eating pretty well, he isn't too concerned.  However, he said that we still need to keep an eye on it and make sure nothing gets worse.  We go back in 2 months for another follow up appointment.

Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.  I need my little girl to grow up to be strong and healthy (so she can go shopping with her mommy and be a dancer!)

Here is a cute picture of her during her appointment!! P.D.P!! (Pretty Darn Precious!)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Leah and Ryan celebrated their first Thanksgiving with Gammom, PopPop, Uncle Geoff, Aunt Liddy, and Gavin!!! They had a blast! Gavin was super excited to see his baby cousins.  I wish I had it on video.  The twins slept almost the whole time which was nice because Mommy and Daddy got to relax and enjoy an AMAZING dinner cooked by Liz.  However, that just meant they were up ALL night.  Ugh! haha.

It was the first time I had really seen Gavin since his surgery and wow, what a difference.  He has gained weight and a whole lot of energy.  The kid had it before but now, its through the roof! His heart also beats normally now and not like he just ran a marathon.  I love it! He is just so amazing and sweet.

Here are some pictures!!!
